Crescent Moon Face Creme is rich and luscious. It’s suited for normal to dry skin types and particularly for mature or damaged skin. A little goes a long way, so the best way to apply it is to put a small amount about the size of a dime into the palm of your hand. Then rub a little into the tip of your finger and gently smooth onto the face. Allow the creme to sink into the skin for a minute or so. Tissue off any excess if necessary.

Ingredients, Recipe and Evolution:

The ingredients are natural and of the best quality I can find, organic or ethically harvested whenever possible to choose. I credit Rosemary Gladstar for my inspiration and beginning. "Rosemary’s Famous Face Cream" on page 100 of her book, Herbal Healing for Women, was my first attempt in the realm of creating herbal product. Learning by trial and error and helpful feedback from friends and family, I slowly evolved the formula that I now use. I've found that shea butter is a great moisturizer and without the slightly greasy feel of coconut oil. I added jojoba oil due to its wrinkle removing qualities and pH similar to that of our own skin. Vitamin E oil was added due to its antioxidant properties and its benefit to aging and scarred skin. Evening primrose oil was added due to its benefit to blemishes. Essential oil of neroli has cell regenerative properties, potentially improving skin elasticity, not to mention its lovely scent, with calming and aphrodisiac effects. Orange blossom hydrosol was substituted for a portion of the distilled water because, as the by-product of steam distilled neroli, it has all the benefits of the essential oil at a much reduced cost. Yet what really makes this creme especially unique is lipid-soluble vitamin C, ascorbyl palmitate. Its benefits are well known yet, in its water-soluble form, vitamin C flushes through the body quickly. Now in this fat-soluble form, it stays in the system longer allowing the body to absorb more nutrients. Topical application is believed to be a new discovery in skin care.

Personal Experience and Customer Feedback:

This is the only moisturizer I’ve used for several years and my face is clear and well hydrated. Many women have told me that their experience is the same, that their skin has never looked better. One customer, who has a history of skin eruptions and basal cell carcinomas, said that her dermatologist commented, unsolicited, on how good her skin looked after she had been using Crescent Moon Creme for several months!

Spirit:

This creme is made in small batches (12 2-ounce jars at a time) with healing ingredients and intention. Its physical characteristics are often a challenge. The consistency is meta-stable, at best, especially in hot weather (store in refrigerator then). Over time, some water may separate a bit from the oils since only natural preservatives and emulsifiers are used. This can easily be poured off. Yet the healing ingredients and the spirit with which it is made remain consistent. My hope is that it offers comfort and benefit to all who use it. The shape of a spiral can sometimes be seen on the surface of a new jar.
